The Israel Deception

Is the return of Israel in the 20th century truly a work of God, or is it a result of a cosmic chess move to deceive the elect by the adversary?

EBT absurdity: Welfare recipient attempts to purchase automobile with food stamp card

As America transformed into a society of political correctness, and where taxpayer funded programs and modifications were created to try to lessen the stigma of being on welfare under the auspices of providing ‘dignity’ to the less fortunate, it has done little to stop the underlying fact that if someone can defraud a system and get away with it, they will.  And there is no better example of this than what occurred in Florida on March 20 when a perfectly healthy man tried to use an EBT card to purchase a $60,000 automobile.
In the past, the purpose of food stamps, or SNAP as it is called today, was to provide a helping hand to those either working, or unable to work in the lower income brackets.  This supplemental program originated with recipients receiving a certain amount of specialized ‘currency’ from the Agricultural Department that could only be used for purchasing food at a local grocery store, and in products approved by that same department.  But as politicians became endeared to politically correct activists who demanded that those receiving food stamps be protected from ‘shame and humility’, the result was an electronic benefit system that has now been expanded to include it being used for anything from junk food, fast food, and even strip clubs.

Obama’s 10 million man march to unemployment

It’s official.  Since President Barack Obama took office in 2009, over 10 million Americans have lost their means of gainful employment making Obama the worst job President in history.
The number of working age Americans that do not have a job has increased by nearly 10 million since Barack Obama first entered the White House.
In January 2009, the number of “officially unemployed” workers plus the number of Americans “not in the labor force” was sitting at a grand total of 92.6 million.  Today, that number has risen to 102.2 million.  That means that the number of working age Americans that are not working has grown by close to 10 million since Barack Obama first took office. - Economic Collapse Blog

20% of ALL AMERICANS Are Having TROUBLE GETTING FOOD & BASIC NECESSITIES

With recent SNAP figures showing that over 100 million, or nearly 1/3 of all Americans, receive some form of food stamp assistance, it is very difficult to believe economic analysts who say that our financial system is in recovery, and getting better for everyone.  Yet even with all the billions of dollars in government assistance to help the public, a new poll out on Sept. 12 shows that 20% of the population is experiencing trouble getting food and basic necessities to survive on.

NYC: Where you can't buy a large coke but can spend welfare on strippers

It appears that the financial capital of the world, New York City, is not immune to the ignorance of most of government in understanding where true priorities lie.  While Mayer Bloomberg spends time and taxpayer money going after individuals who want to drink a large coca-cola, he and the rest of the city are turning a blind eye to welfare recipients who are spending even more taxpayer money on booze, strippers, and gay club nights out.

In a new investigation by the New York Post on Jan. 6, numbers of food stamp and EBT card users were found to have spent their free government money not on food and diapers, but on booze, strippers, bars and even x-rated video shops.

Welfare recipients took out cash at bars, liquor stores, X-rated video shops, hookah parlors and even strip clubs — where they presumably spent their taxpayer money on lap dances rather than diapers, a Post investigation found.

A database of 200 million Electronic Benefit Transfer records from January 2011 to July 2012, obtained by The Post through a Freedom of Information request, showed welfare recipients using their EBT cards to make dozens of cash withdrawals at ATMs inside Hank’s Saloon in Brooklyn; the Blue Door Video porn shop in the East Village; The Anchor, a sleek SoHo lounge; the Patriot Saloon in TriBeCa; and Drinks Galore, a liquor distributor in The Bronx.

The state Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), which oversees the “cash assistance program,” even lists some of these welfare-ready ATMs on its Web site.

As Congress and President Obama continue to fight over saving a few nickels and dimes from a nearly $4 trillion Federal budget, and Mayor Bloomberg decries on national television that the country should pay for Hurricane Sandy cleanup, the bottom line is that when it comes to holding voters, err welfare recipients responsible for their government money, it is much easier to scream class division than it is to enforce fiscal responsibility on those who do not work, and have no inention of doing more than milk the system.

SNAP: June foodstamp applications increase three times more than Americans finding a job

In the 1920's, President Calvin Coolidge uttered the phrase, the business of Americ is business.  Nearly 100 years later, that doctrine has changed for the American people as the new business of America is foodstamps.

In June, foodstamp applications came in three times greater than the number of Americans who found jobs.

Charts courtesy of SNAP

June saw a new surge in those Americans living in poverty and thus eligible for foodstamps, with 173,600 new entrants into the system, bringing the total to a new all time high of 46.670 million and once again rising fast. Furthermore, with subsequent emergency events affecting the heartland due to the drought, the administration has made sure even more Americans will be eligible going forward. As a result expect the July and August numbers to promptly surpass 47 million on their way to the psychological resistance level of 50 million. Indicatively, the 173,600 increase in Foodstamps recipients in June was three times greater than Americans finding jobs (64,000, most of which part-time) according to the BLS. - Zerohedge

And unfortunately, the unregulated food stamp and EBT programs continue to lead to waste, fraud, and massive losses to the taxpayers.  Recently, a thrown away receipt by a food stamp recipient shows that the program is being used in many cases to fund luxury items, and not the intended healthy food and meal necessities of those on lower incomes.

The business of America is now welfare in the 21st century, and the trends are not slowing down.  At the current rate, perhaps within the next 20 years, 90% of all Americans will be on the government dole in some capacity, and the nanny state will be complete.

Gibsmedat update: Food stamp user cuts retailer for not selling him alcohol with EBT card

The Daily Economist is starting a new periodical called the Gibsmedat update.  The first update, concerns a food stamp recipient who slashed a retailer in New York City with a knife because the cashier would not sell him alcohol using his EBT card.

Official Gibsmedat Currency
A drunken man reportedly slashed a Brooklyn clerk’s face after being told he couldn’t use food stamps to buy a bottle of beer.

“Sell it to me,” the suspect told Ali. “Don’t get me mad.”

The suspect was described as a black man between the ages of 25 and 30 with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a white T-shirt. -

History shows that people do not respect what they don't earn, and as time has passed, food stamp usage has gone from a few needy Americans in poverty, to now over 46 million.  It is no longer a stigma, but the mainstream, and as such, the respect for welfare benefits has moved into the realm of gibsmedat.

Government promises: food stamp growth over job growth

The US food stamp program is based on criteria that gives money towards individuals and families that live below certain economic scales.  This includes those who might even have a job(s).

However, the crux is that growth in food stamp recipients is expected to rise through 2014 according to a new CBO projection, and this shows evidence that the government doesn't really believe there will be any new substantial job growth for Americans over the next two years.

Chart courtesy of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO)

The Congressional Budget Office said Thursday that 45 million people in 2011 received Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, a 70% increase from 2007. It  said the number of people receiving the benefits, commonly known as food stamps, would continue growing until 2014.
Spending for the program, not including administrative costs, rose to $72 billion in 2011, up from $30 billion four years earlier. The CBO projected that one in seven U.S. residents received food stamps last year.

In a report, the CBO said roughly two-thirds of jump in spending was tied to an increase in the number of people participating in the program, which provides access to food for the poor, elderly, and disabled. It said another 20% “of the growth in spending can be attributed to temporarily higher benefit amounts enacted in the” 2009 stimulus law. - blog.wsj.com

Yet, the SNAP food stamp program is broken, as seen here where Atlanta prison inmates bragged about how much food they accumulated behind bars using a EBT card they lawfully got from government agencies.

And we wonder why the Budget deficit is over $150 billion per month, and showing no signs of slowing.

Food Stamp usage remains at record levels for Americans on welfare

January brought another month of reports on government welfare and benefits, and while there wasn't a large climb in new claims for food stamps and SNAP programs, usage of this program remains at all-time record levels for Americans.

And while the actual number of recipients declined by a whisper, the number of households actually receiving benefits increased to a new record of 22.2 million. Lastly, the average monthly benefit per household slide to a multi-year low of $277.27. - Zerohedge

A tale of two markets: new record highs for both Apple and Foodstamps

In the world of the haves and have-nots, economic analysis can always find new ways to distinguish the direction a populace is taking on the high and low side.  A most interesting comparison seems to have taken place on March 2nd where the wealthiest corporation in the world, Apple, reached another new high in stock price, while at the same time, Food Stamp recipients in American also touched new records.

Think Apple is the only thing allowed to hit new records every month? Think again: presenting iFoodstamps - the number of Americans living in poverty (or at least doing a damn good job of fooling the government in pretending they do). As of December, per SNAP this number just hit another record high of 46.5 million, an increase of 384,000 in one month (and ending the trend of declines from October and November), 2.4 million in 2011 (about as many as have dropped out of the Labor force, hmmmm), and 14.3 million since Obama took office. - Zerohedge

And as Zerohedge points out in ultimate Irony, you can download instruction at iTunes on how to apply and receive food stamps and other benefits.
