Attorney General Sessions is a Timex watch in the digital age of marijuana

On Jan. 4, Attorney General Jeff Sessions finally followed through with some of the threats he had spoken upon regarding the use of marijuana since entering offic, and the current trend towards legalization at the state level.  And sadly, all Sessions has done is made himself a caricature of the old man from the 1930's propaganda film Reefer Madness.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Thursday rescinded a trio of memos from the Obama administration that had adopted a policy of non-interference with marijuana-friendly state laws.
The move essentially shifts federal policy from the hands-off approach adopted under the previous administration to unleashing federal prosecutors across the country to decide individually how to prioritize resources to crack down on pot possession, distribution and cultivation of the drug in states where it is legal.  - Mises
Ironically, the Attorney General in his crusade forgot one of the primary rules of government, and that is that you cannot legislate morality.  In fact the history of alcohol prohibition and the failure of decade's long 'War on Drugs' should be enough to make any reasonable person recognize this, but unfortunately the Attorney General's religious and moralistic obsessions make him a fossil trying to resurrect a bygone age.

And despite this, the one thing that he and President Trump are correct on is the opioid crisis which now kills more Americans per year than the majority of natural and accidental causes.  But once again the Administration is avoiding focusing on the root causes of the problem, which is the fact that the majority of drugs tied to opiods are brought into the country by the CIA, and Big Pharma legally administers opioid derivatives to millions of Americans like candy.

There has not been one instance of regulated pot causing any fatalities, and the propaganda of it being a gateway drug is no different than when a quack psychologist enticed Congress to blame comic books for a surge in youth crime during the 1950's.  And even more provoking, if the production of hemp and marijuana was good enough for the nation's Founding Fathers, then who today in the government should question that authority?

Inevitably for old men like Jeff Sessions, the marijuana genie is already out of the bottle.  And the enticement of vitally needed revenues to the states will make this issue one that the Federal government cannot win.

I am Michelle Huxford from Casper, Wyoming. I was in a very chronic financial issue and terminal health situation some few weeks back. After all my search for assistance from friends and neighbors proved abortive, I feel there was no one who truly cares. I became so emaciated due to lack of good food and my 2 kids age 5 and 8 were not also good looking due to lack of proper care as a result of finance. One faithful morning I saw an old time friend of my late husband and I told him all I have been going through and he said the only way he could help was to direct me to a good loan agency that also helped him, He explained to me on how he was financially down and how he got boosted by this loan agency UPSTART LOAN INC ( [email protected] ) who grant him 245,000 USD loan at an affordable rate. He further assured me that they were the only legit loan firm he found in the quest of seeking for loan after been scammed by various fake loan lenders online. He gave me their email: [email protected] or text/call (574) 301-1639, That was how i applied and was also granted a loan and my life changed for the good. CONTACT THE ONLY GENUINE LENDERS( UPSTART LOAN INC) VIA email: [email protected] or call +1 (574) 301-1639 to resolve your financial mess. ```
