The Israel Deception

Is the return of Israel in the 20th century truly a work of God, or is it a result of a cosmic chess move to deceive the elect by the adversary?

The future of America can be seen through the eyes of Detroit

The Economic Collapse blogsite came out February 13th with a unique perspective of how American as a whole might look in the future through the eyes of one of its former economic marvels;  The city of Detroit.  Before its fall, and near fatal status, the motor city was known worldwide for its industry and production, but today is almost a ghost town where police limit their response areas, and complete sections of the city are in total disrepair.

The Economic Collapse has compiled 20 things we can learn from the death of Detroit, and here are just a few.

#1 People don't want to live where the stench of failure and decay is constantly in the air. Back in the 1950s, Detroit was a teeming metropolis of approximately 2 million people. According to the 2010 census, only 713,000 people live in Detroit today. The U.S. Census Bureau says that Detroit lost a resident every 22 minutes during the first decade of this century.

#2 When the economy falls apart, desperate people will do desperate things and many homeowners will fight back. Justifiable homicide in Detroit rose by a staggering 79 percent during 2011.

#4 When there is not enough money to go around, a lot of local governments will choose to cut back on police protection. Ten years ago, there were approximately 5,000 police for the city of Detroit. Today, there are less than 3,000.

#6 Economic decay is a breeding ground for chaos and violence. Last Friday and Saturday, a total of nine shootings were reported in the city of Detroit.
#9 When criminals become desperate, they will steal literally anything that is not bolted down. In Detroit today, thieves have stripped so much copper wiring out of the street lights that half of all the lights in some neighborhoods no longer work.

#11 One of the clearest signs of decline in America is the state of our education system. Only 25 percent of all students in Detroit end up graduating from high school. Many other major cities will soon have graduation rates similar to Detroit.

#13 A growing percentage of Americans cannot even read or write. This is a very frightening indication of what the future of America could look like. According to one stunning report, 47 percent of all people living in the city of Detroit are functionally illiterate.

#15 The employment situation in America is a lot worse than the government is telling us. An analysis of census figures found that 48.5% of all men living in Detroit from age 20 to age 64 did not have a job in 2008.

#16 When a major city becomes a hellhole, home prices fall like a rock. The median price of a home in Detroit is now just $6000.

The U.S. economy never recovered from the last major financial crisis, and now another one is on the way.

As the economy crumbles, so will the fabric of our society.

The American people are terribly spoiled and they do not possess the character to handle depression-like conditions with grace and dignity.

CBO report forecasts unemployment rate at 10% in 2012

In what assuredly would be a devastating economic indicator for President Obama, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) came out with a report forecasting the unemployment rate for 2012.  While manipulated BLS reports in November and December dropped the rate down to 8.5%, the truth is those numbers reflect less people receiving unemployment benefits and don't take into account the hundreds of thousands who fell off the roles.

And the fact that the CBO predicted negative $2.5 trillion in net debt by 2011 back in 2011 is largely ignored. Anyway, here are some of the highlights.
  • 2012 Deficit: $1.1 trillion; 2013 Deficit: $0.6 - yes, we are cackling like mad too...
  • Unemployment to remain above 8% in 2012 and 2013; will be around 7% by end of 2015; to drop to 5.25% by end of 2022.
    • This forecast is utterly idiotic and is completely unattainable unless the US workforce drops to all time lows and the US economy generates 300,000 jobs a month for 10 years
  • Needless to say, CBO assumes the best of all worlds in this meaningless forecast
  • But here is the kicker: "Had that portion of the decline in the labor force participation rate since 2007 that is attributable to neither the aging of the baby boomers nor the downturn in the business cycle (on the basis of the experience in previous downturns) not occurred, the unemployment rate in the fourth quarter of 2011 would have been about 1¼ percentage points higher than the actual rate of 8.7 percent" translation: CBO just admitted that the BLS numbers are bogus and real unemployment is 10%. Thank you - CBO via Zerohedge

Never ask the government how many people are out of work, ask a bean counter, for they are the ones who are paying the benefits for those out of work.

Even in recovery there are 216 economic dead zone around the US

As economic recovery moves slowly and gradually in many cities and areas around the US, a new study by Louis Ferleger of Alter Net lays out 216 economic dead zones that have not been a part of this emergence, and are in fact moving further away from recovery.

There are 216 defined metropolitan (metro) and micropolitan (micro) areas—with populations ranging from 10,000 to 4 million—that have had unemployment rates at least two percentage points higher than the national average for either 20, 10, or 5 years (see tables 1, 2, 3 at the end of this article). These are America’s dead zones. Here employment growth is stagnant or non-existent and high levels of joblessness dominate. Some areas were once prosperous while others have recently experienced economic distress. In these communities paid work is hard to find for those who have not given up looking, and widespread involuntary idleness is the norm. - Alternet

Here is a list of these cities and dead zones courtesy of Alternet.org

America has a history of cities and areas rising and falling for one reason or another.  The gold and silver rushes of the 19th century hold a plethora of ghost towns that were at one time some of the richest municipalities in the country.  Today, the city of Detroit is becoming one with the loss of so much industry, automobile manufacturing, and a brain drain out of the city and state.

Americans lining up for foodstamps like there is no tomorrow

Food stamp recipients just crossed 46 million Americans in the latest report from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).  Last month, 120,000 Americans may have found a job, but 423,000 fell below the income limits and became eligible for the EBT.

Makes us all want to pull out our Karaoke machines and sing our EBT anthem.

Why civil rights leaders make bad politicians and economists

Civil Rights leaders in American are quick to scam bucks from the taxpayer to provide welfare and free largesse to their minority constituents.  The Democratic party has a history of passing massive legislation that has provided benefit after benefit to tens of millions of Americans for not working, or for having children.

So it should come as no surprise that the son of civil rights leader Jessie Jackson would propose a boondoggle of a welfare scam, paying $40,000 per person per year to all the unemployed in the US.

This proposal comes out to $800+ billion per year, and over $4 Trillion in just 5 years.

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. has offered his own $804 billion jobs plan that calls on the federal government to hire the nation’s 15 million unemployed Americans for jobs paying roughly $40,000 each, and bail out all the states and cities facing budget crises. - Fox News

But then again, that's Chicago politics for you.  Like Barack Obama, who was voted into office in the state of Illinois not by merit, but by finding scandals in his opposition, so to it appears Jessie Jackson Jr lacks the basic intelligence of simple math to realize that what he is proposing... make-shift work pay to 15 million for doing.... who knows what, and is the standard practice of progressives who rarely think before they speak.

The Student Loan system of lifelong control and servitude

"War is a racket."  These were the words of US General Smedley Butler on how the military industrial complex uses war to profit corporations.  If the good General were alive today he would say the same thing about the Education system and the student loan 'racket'.

Healthcare Administration.com has come out with a wonderful breakdown of how the student loan system works today, and how its institution helps create servitude for graduating students well into their 30's and 40's.

The choices for a good affordable education may be a thing of the past.  But in today's world, a good eduction doesn't promise you a good job, so the question now becomes... what could you better spend your education money on to further your future?

Joe Biden ushers in rapes, murders, and mayhem if Obama job bill not passed

There are very few good things to say about the wacky, and always hilarious Joe Biden, but it appears that he has joined other liberal Democrats in falling off the wagon of sanity.  In a speech yesterday in Flint, Michigan, the Vice-President told listeners that if President Obama's job bill isn't passed, then crime such as rape, murder, etc... will escalate around the country.

"In 2008, when Flint had 265 sworn officers on their police force, there were 35 murders and 91 rapes in this city," Biden said. "In 2010, when Flint had only 144 police officers, the murder rate climbed to 65 and rapes--just to pick two categories--climbed to 229. In 2011, you now only have 125 shields. God only knows what the numbers will be this year for Flint if we don't rectify it."
The vice president also seemed to suggest that the Obama administration's first stimulus is the reason rapes and murders were not even higher in 2010 and 2011." And God only knows what that number would have been had we not been able to get a little bit of help," Biden said.  - The Weekly Standard
Here is a video of his speech... be sure not to be near any alcoholic beverages, or sharp objects as the Daily Economist does not want to be part of a self-induced crime.

Fastest growing job sector in America? Facebook apps!

While the U.S. jobs picture lis generally bleak, the proliferation of Facebook and mobile technology applications has spawned an entirely new industry dubbed the "App Economy", that has added at least 182,000 new jobs and contributed more than $12.19 billion in wages and benefits to the U.S. economy this year, according to new research from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. Using more aggressive estimates, the Facebook App Economy created a total of 235,644 jobs, adding a value of $15.71 billion to the economy.

You know that a scandal has hit primetime when you get exposed on the Daily Show

A scandal is not officially a scandal until it has been sliced and diced with a ginsu knife by Jon Stewart on the Daily Show.

We can now say Obama's connection and corruption with Solyndra, and other green job wastes is officially in play.
