The Israel Deception

Is the return of Israel in the 20th century truly a work of God, or is it a result of a cosmic chess move to deceive the elect by the adversary?

Timeline for Collapse - 2016-2018: Interview with V the Guerrilla Economist

Happy New Year!  And perhaps we should enjoy this one like Dec. 31, 2008 before everything fell apart.

Below is an interview from today with V the Guerrilla Economist on his forecast for the economy, and the expected financial collapse that should take place between now and 2018.

Got Karatbars? The outlook for 2016 in the economy, gold, and finance

Well, it's the end of another year and as most analysts are saying on mainstream business news this Dec. 31, the overall year was stagnant.  But since most of their rhetoric is tied primarily towards propping up stock markets, it is vital that we take a look at the alternative media for a more rounded look at what took place over the past 365 days, and what is coming in 2016.

In numerology 2016 breaks down to a year of 9, and represents a completion and ending of a cycle.  And if we go back 9 years to 2007, we saw that the financial system was ramping up and rushing headlong into a collapse that was slow to begin, but came on suddenly and swiftly with little warning in Oct. of 2008.

So with this in mind, what are many analysts forecasting for 2016, and more importantly, which information is relevant to you in determining your own course of investing, saving, and growing your business.

Doug Kass over at Seabreeze Partners predicts geo-political events in 2016 will have an extreme effect on the global economy, and in particular the expanding war on terrorist.

Terrorism Dismantles an Already Fragile Global Recovery
I fear we’ll see attacks that demonstrate how terrorism incidents are systemic and not (as the consensus sometimes believes) simply isolated. It could become apparent that we face a broad, aggressive wave of terrorism aimed (as expressed by ISIS) at defeating the West’s world domination.
Acceptance of this notion would cause significant disruption in global markets and the world’s economies. Shares in airlines, hotels, entertainment companies (especially theme-park related) might suffer the most throughout the year.
America Falls into Recession and Stocks Tank
Too much debt, too little growth, fiscal-policy paralysis, a “spent” Federal Reserve and limited capital spending (which adversely impacts productivity) weigh down stocks in 2016. So do crony capitalism, geopolitical instability a further narrowing of market leadership and a further technical breakdown.
The current U.S. expansion is now more than 70 months old, one of the longest in history. There have been six recessions since 1971, and the S&P 500’s average drop during them is 36%. I predict 2016 will see the seventh recession in the last 45 years, with stocks experiencing a 20% decline.
Few asset classes will be spared, and household net worths will suffer. Rising bond prices had the effect of somewhat buffering falling stock and home prices in the last downturn. But we won’t be so fortunate this time as stocks, real estate and bond prices will likely all decline at the same time.
Bloomberg also published forecasts for 2016 through a survey of their top analysts in a number of different companies.

IMF chief warns of ‘disappointing’ global growth in 2016
Global economic growth will be disappointing and uneven next year, said the head of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde in an article for German newspaper Handelsblatt.
“In many countries the financial sector still has weaknesses and in emerging markets the financial risks are increasing. All of that means global growth will be disappointing and uneven in 2016,” said Lagarde. – Russia Today
Market Watch: Paul Farrell
It’s time to start the countdown to the crash of 2016. No, this is not a prediction of a minor correction. Plan on a 50% crash.
Most investors don’t want to hear the countdown, will tune out. Basic psychology. They’ll keep charging ahead with a bullish battle cry, about how the Nasdaq will keep climbing relentlessly to a new record above 5,048 … smiling as they remember reading that a whopping 73 companies are now in the Wall Street Journal’s Billion Dollar Start-up Club, with Uber ($41 billion), SpaceX ($12 billion) and Snapchat ($10 billion).
Hearts race even faster reading in Bloomberg BusinessWeek that “China’s IPO Boom Mints Billionaires” and Jack Ma’s Alibaba fortune is now valued at $35.1 billion.
Yes, technology IPOs are in the lead, and with all that good news, it’s easy to understand why investors tune out, don’t want to hear the warnings, no countdown to the 2016 crash.
But the crash of 2016 really is coming. Dead ahead.

2016 is expected to be the year that China will skyrocket the use of the Yuan throughout the entire global monetary system, and put the U.S. dollar squarely in the crosshairs of viability in the reserve currency system.  And once this finally reaches a point of critical mass, then the next and final step will be a return to a gold backed system where trade currencies and even many local currencies will be funded by gold.

Many people and investors around today remember what took place following the 2008 Credit Crisis, and the subsequent Great Recession that saw taxpayer funded bailouts, and stock markets that fell over 40% in less than two years.  And with central banks out of ammunition to defend against another crash, they will not be capable of saving both markets and economies when the next crisis occurs.

But you can do so for yourself, and in the one form of money that has lasted through every crash and collapse in history.

Gold.

And you can do this with a company called Karatbars

Buying gold through Karatbars is one of the easiest things on the net.  In fact, the business model of Karatbars is to sell gold in affordable quantities, such as 1, 2.5, and 5 gram increments, and allow customers to get into the metal without having to shell out $1200+ for a single ounce coin.

And as added perks to signing up with Karatbars, as a customer or affiliate, Karatbars is working on a new e-wallet system that functions just like an offshore bank account, and is outside the authority of the banking system.  From there, you can take your fiat currency in any denomination... dollars, euros, yen, etc... and purchase physical gold which can either be delivered directly to you, or stored for free at one of Karatbar's vaults.

Additionally, any gold that you buy can easily be sold back to Karatbars, or any metals dealer, and if with Karatbars it is then exchanged for currency that is uploaded to you through a pre-loaded debit Mastercard which is connected directly to your e-wallet.  And as we know, MasterCard is recognized in nearly every country around the world, and usable in any currency that accepts it.

But perhaps the best feature with Karatbars is their affiliate program, where you can earn money off commissions from getting others to sign up and become a customer or affiliate.  Not only do you receive commissions from their purchasing of physical gold, but you also earn commissions from anyone who buys a commission package, with that money going directly into your debit MasterCard when you have enough units to cycle.

Imagine the ability to earn the money in which to buy your gold savings simply by purchasing a commission affiliate package one time, and then getting others to sign up and do the same thing.

How many businesses or entrepreneurs can build an infinite business with spending less than $400 of their own money?  And there is never a mandatory requirement to buy beyond what you desire, on your own schedule.  And there is nothing to lose, because you're using money (paper dollars) to buy gold (physical money) and in the end you don't lose a thing.

The global financial system, along with dozens of respected economists, are telling us that now is the time for the end of our current form of money, and the beginning of the transition into a new monetary system that is expected to be backed by gold.  And with banks, governments, and even Harvard professors mandating that central banks have no choice but to eliminate cash from usage by the people to stave off collapse, will you wait until it is too late to make a decision on how you will protect your wealth, and be able to function within the coming new monetary system?

Canadian investors file a class action lawsuit against the London Gold fix banks for manipulation

Libor, Forex, money laundering for cartels, equities… what do all these have in common?  They are markets that banks and brokers were allowed to manipulate until it became public knowledge that fraud and corruption were taking place.
And with everyone and their brother knowing that gold markets and prices have been manipulated for decades, a new class action lawsuit filed by two Canadian investors through three Canadian law firms is trying to blow the whistle on one of the most egregious scams going on in the gold markets today.
In a suit filed on Dec. 22 against several banks involved in the London Gold Fix, lawyers from three firms are seeking $1.1 billion in restitution for losses taken by the manipulation of gold contracts and markets.

The myriad of economic predictions and forecasts for 2016

Whether it is the mainstream or the alternative medias, economic and financial predictions are part and parcel for the final week of a given year.  And perhaps what is humorous for the average reader is how dichotomous these forecasts can be, with one side always predicting good times for the economy, and the other side lamenting collapse.
So rather than picking and choosing who is more accurate or cogent on an individual basis, this year we will post a number of different forecasts from a number of different sources and look back a year from now and see who was on the ball, and who was full of garbage.

U.S. Senator calls for a new surtax to fund ISIS ‘war’ as 8 out of 10 Americans think we are losing

Since 2003, Congress has spent over $3 trillion on wars in the Middle East, with little to show for it besides the rise of an Islamic caliphate.  And if more than a decade at war isn’t enough for the American public, a U.S. Senator from the state of Delaware wants to create a new surtax on the people to fund an escalation of the ‘war’ on ISIS, and at a time when 8 out of 10 Americans believe the Obama administration has failed in his mission to stop radical Islam.
The sad part of course is that Congress has not declared an actual war, and like the immense waste that occurred in Iraq and Afghanistan, who knows where revenues from this tax would really go.

Data hack doesn’t stop Americans seeking an affair on Ashley Madison

One thing is always for certain, bad behavior never needs rational explanations to justify its actions.  And when millions of Americans, including many well known industrialists and celebrities, were revealed to be members of the notorious Ashley Madison website following a data breach earlier this year, one would figure that this would signal the end of the IPO that catered to men and women seeking secret rendezvous away from their spouses and partners.
But alas, this is not the case, and as 2015 comes to a close, a new report shows that not only did Ashley Madison not lose very many clients, but the publicity has even led to 4 million new subscribers all looking for their own secret liaisons.

End of Petrodollar? First Middle Eastern oil power to open Chinese currency hub

Since 1973, the dollar has held sway over the global financial system through its connections to oil, and with the Middle Eastern producers who sell it in American currency.  But as dollar hegemony has waned over the past decade, and as the U.S. has gone to war against any nation (Iraq, Iran, Libya) who has tried to sell their oil in currencies other than the dollar, members of OPEC have been seeking ways to move away from the petro-dollar and into alliances with other powers that could protect their sovereignty.
And now they may finally have it.
On Dec. 27, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed an agreement with China to become an RMB hub and clearing house for the expanding Chinese currency.  And with one of the richest OPEC states opening the door for the Yuan, it will not be long before others like Saudi Arabia join on board which will then initiate the use of the Yuan in global oil purchases.

Ontario becomes ground zero for citizens being asked to pay for the debts of their government

$160,000.  That is how much each American ‘virtually’ owes bondholders to cover the government’s nearly $19 trillion in national debt.  And while our taxes are the primary collateral which allows Uncle Sam to borrow from a privately owned central bank, is there a chance sometime in the future where the government may use force, coercion, or even confiscation to pay these obligations that neither you nor I volunteered for?
US-Public-Debt-per-Taxpayer-Apr-2015
The answer to that may be coming sooner than we think, as our neighbor to the North, and in particular the City of Ontario, Canada, is so deep in debt that they are now asking their own people to voluntarily donate monies outside of proscribed taxation to pay on the city’s debt before insolvency bring it crashing down.

Got Karatbars? The time has arrived where governments need your money to stay solvent

There are fewer and fewer people alive today who remember President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's bank holiday and subsequent confiscation of gold under Executive Order 6102 back in 1933, and even fewer who understand what individual control over their own money really means.  In fact, despite the Credit Crisis that nearly collapsed the Western banking system and brought about the concept of depositor bail-ins just seven years ago, most Americans and Europeans still trust the system and their government to hold their bank accounts, retirement accounts, and paper assets sacrosanct.

But history has shown that greed is a very powerful elixir, and very few if any institutions can withstand the corruption it brings over the course of time.  And while the vast majority of people find it difficult to believe that the government would ever pass a law to take their money held in a bank, broker, or retirement account, one such government is suddenly becoming ground zero for just that potential action.

Over the Christmas holiday, data points tied to a collapsing housing bubble and a destruction in Canada's oil industry has led the city of Ontario to publicly beg its citizens to help bailout the government as the municipality finds itself on the cusp of bankruptcy, and without hope of paying off $300 billion worth of debt it has accumulated.
Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne is asking that you consider giving your money to the Ontario government as well.
For a mere $21,000 for every man, woman and child in the province, Ontario could be debt free.
No, this is not some kind of holiday joke about the Grinch who stole Christmas.
And, no, voluntarily donating to the government isn’t in lieu of paying taxes.
It is in addition to them.
Canada’s largest province has asked its taxpayers to donate their hard-earned money to the cause of bailing out the much indebted provincial government.
On top of paying among the highest taxes in North America, and coping with skyrocketing hydro prices — hikes directly caused by the decisions made by this Liberal administration and the previous one — the Wynne government wants more.
Treasury Board Chair Deb Matthews made the bold request last week, and specifically asked folks to donate their tax return rebate to help pay off the provincial debt. - Toronto Sun
Fast forward to the United States.

Following the 2008 Credit Crash and subsequent Great Recession, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi proposed a bill that would have nationalized all 401K's, IRA's, and pension accounts under government control to help subsidize the then $14 trillion in national debt.  This bill never made it to the House floor, but since them the debt has risen to over $19 trillion and the same government has instituted two other schemes such as President Obama's MyRA program, and the Treasury Secretary's move of public pensions into U.S. Treasury debt that is as un-payable as Ontario's debt appears to be.

(Just read Secretary Lew's words during the last debt ceiling debate where Social Security would be un-payable without allowing the government the power to borrow more money)

The overall point is that the world is finally finding itself forced to pay the piper after years of irresponsibility and unsound financial practices that place global debt at a whopping $230 trillion, or
300% over the world's annual GDP.  And if anyone is wondering why the G20 is now forcing all Western nations to pass Bail-in laws to have you and I pay for the next financial crisis, all one has to do is look at what is taking place in Venezuela, Argentina, and now Canada to see that the Day of Reckoning is now upon us.

So if any cash, savings, or retirement accounts held by governments, or in banking institutions is as vulnerable as it was 80 years ago during the last great bank holiday, what alternative is there for you to protect your wealth, get it offshore and away from any potential confiscation, and into something that is not readily taken by these now insolvent institutions?

You can do this with a company called Karatbars

Buying gold through Karatbars is one of the easiest things on the net.  In fact, the business model of Karatbars is to sell gold in affordable quantities, such as 1, 2.5, and 5 gram increments, and allow customers to get into the metal without having to shell out $1200+ for a single ounce coin.

First de-pegging from the Euro, now Switzerland is voting to end private central banking

For decades, Switzerland has been known as the banking capital of the world due to their neutrality, and long history of protecting wealth from the prying eyes of governments.  And although they recently gave into U.S. pressures for transparency of accounts owned by American citizens, two major policy decisions may be separating themselves once again from the pack in the Western financial system.
Back in January, the Swiss government de-pegged the Franc from the Euro, causing a temporary setback in their economy due to the strength of their own, and the weakness of their formerly pegged to currency.  But a new referendum that is being initiated may change all of this, and help the country overcome negative interest rates that their central bank forced upon the Swiss economy.

Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders channels his inner Ron Paul

Former Congressman and Presidential candidate Ron Paul was known primarily for his movement within the financial and political realms, and it involved a crusade to both audit and end the Federal Reserve bank.  And while his tireless efforts led to a miniscule audit of the private central bank which revealed how it had bailed out domestic and foreign banks, as well as many multi-national corporations, the end result accomplished little as his retirement signaled the end of the war on the Fed.
Or has it?
On Dec. 23, Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders wrote an op-ed in the New York Times picking up Ron Paul’s mantle and channeling his own crusade to bring about a full and independent audit of the 100 year old central bank.

Bo Polny challenges Jonathan Cahn's work by showing how the Shmitah is really in 2016

In 2015, Harbinger author Jonathan Cahn shocked Wall Street and the theological world with his work on the Shmitah, or Jubilee year in biblical history.  And after Elul 29 came and went with little or no earth shattering event in either finance or geo-politics taking place, the wave of fascination regarding the Shmitah waned into the limelight.

But another biblical scholar, and researcher of cycles is challenging Cahn's assessment that 2015 was to be the year of the Shmitah, and instead points towards October of 2016 as the true date of the historical marker.

What gives Polny some credibility in his research is that over the past year he has correctly called to the day the top of the markets, and the July crash that nearly saw a 20% decline over the next few weeks.

Interestingly as well, analysts like the Guerrilla Economist and Rob Kirby have put 2016 as a more significant year than this one for the culmination of economic chaos, with the dollar front and center for the crash.  And since this is the time for predictions across the board for the coming year in finance and economics, Bo Polny's forecast has a better chance of coming to pass, especially since his track record is incredibly accurate.

Is Canada the first domino to fall in the new Great Depression?

Interesting things have happened 18 months after oil prices fell off a cliff to hover down around $35 per barrel, with the deflationary environment that now permeates the global economy just a microcosm of the overall problems that signal the world entering into a new Great Depression.  And besides currency wars, trade wars, and escalating hot wars that are the norm across the world today, one economy may be the first domino to trigger the global collapse.
Canada.

Zimbabwe dollar? Welcome to the future of the Zimbabwe Yuan

On Dec. 22, one of the most infamous economies in the world over the past 20 years may soon be divesting themselves of dollar hegemony and moving over into the camp of the Chinese Yuan.  In a move dedicated towards strengthening both monetary and trade ties with the Far East power, Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister said that very soon the Yuan could be used as one of many currencies within the African nation’s economy, and help support their financial system by including it in a basket that already allows use of the dollar in everyday transactions.
Zimbabwe of course is well known for entering into a hyper-inflationary environment so great, a $100 trillion Zimbabwe note could barely buy a citizen a couple eggs, and other nominal type item.

U.S. lowers tax barriers to allow foreigners to buy more property and investments

Since the 1990’s, central bank policy has been to create monetary environments that build financial bubbles to make the economy look much better than it actually is.  And just as we recently saw where Fannie Mae is engineering amodified resurrection of sub-prime lending to boost the current housing bubble even further, the government is also jumping on the bandwagon by lowering a 35 year old tax rule that kept out foreign investors from buying up American property.
Known as the 1980 Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act, or FIRPTA, this act had created a disincentive for foreign individuals and institutions to buy property in the U.S., and keep Wall Street investments like REITS from being controlled by offshore entities.  But after passage of the new $1.1 trillion Omnibus spending bill last week, Congress and the President cut this Act to facilitate the inflow of foreign capital to keep the newest housing bubble from bursting.

Got Karatbars? Fed's raising of interest rates actually beneficial for gold prices

When economists look at the comparison between gold prices and interest rates, most simply take a singular period of time and use that as the basis for their entire argument.  That period of course is the early 1980's when then Fed Chairman Paul Volker raised rates to a whopping 20% at the height of stagflation, and when gold had reached its prior all-time high of around $850 per ounce.

But in the chart below you can see that leading up to the that unprecedented interest rate hike, gold had been moving in relative lock-step with interest rates, and over the course of the 1970's, 90's, and 2000's, gold rose rather than fell when the central bank raised interest rates.

Gold prices vs. interest rates 1970 - 1980

Gold prices vs. interest rates 1995 - 2007

You can see with these comparisons that for the most part, higher interest rates equate to greater moves into gold, and in higher gold prices as savings mechanisms appeal far more to investors than speculative ones like stocks.
It is widely assumed that the gold price must decline when the Federal Reserve is hiking interest rates. An example is given by thisrecent article on Bloomberg, which informs us that SocGen believes “gold will be a casualty of Federal Reserve policy”. Never mind that the assumption that the Fed will now be able to simply embark on a “normal” rate hike cycle is in our opinion utterly absurd. It will only do that if the inflation genie unexpectedly gets out of the bottle, and is guaranteed to remain “behind the curve” if that happens (more on this further below).
It seems logical enough: gold has no yield, so if competing investment assets such as bonds or savings deposits do offer a yield, gold will presumably be exchanged for those. There is only a slight problem with this idea. The simple assumption “Fed rate hikes equal a falling gold price” is not supported by even a shred of empirical evidence. On the contrary, all that is revealed by the empirical record in this context is that there seems to be absolutely no discernible correlation between gold and FF rate. If anything, gold and the FF rate exhibit a positive correlation rather more frequently than a negative one!
So the gold price is falling when the Fed hikes rates? Not in the 10 years depicted above, when it did the exact opposite. It rose by 2,350% over the decade, and the vast bulk of the increase happened while the FF rate rose sharply. Gold did however plunge by almost 50% in a mid cycle correction from late 1974 to mid 1976 – while the FF rate actually went down. – Acting-Man.com
Taking all this historical data into account, we must also look at the fact that the Federal Reserve has signaled their intentions to raise rates two to four more times between now and the end of 2016, making the potential for gold to break out of its long-standing doldrums a very strong possibility.  And this can be validated in a recent interview over the weekend by Andrew Maguire who reported that after last week's rate hike, dealers were hit with massive buying in both London and Asia, so much so that a liquidity drain is occurring in all the major gold markets.
Andrew Maguire:  “Eric, now that we have the well-anticipated Fed rate hike out of the way I wanted once more to focus upon the unprecedented, game-changing liquidity drain out of London into Asia. This is evidenced by the increasingly illiquid LBMA fixes. I don’t see this discussed anywhere else and given the pace of this liquidity drain, this will become the catalyst for the inevitable forced cash reset in the highly leveraged unallocated London gold markets…
Maguire continues:  “The global gold market structure has so radically altered that the physical markets have migrated and continue to migrate away from the LBMA conduit into Asia, leaving massive embedded naked-short mismatched lease obligations on the books of the central banks, which are largely shuffled onto the books of the agent bullion banks, the same insider bullion bank’s that are privileged to have gold accounts with the Bank of England.
As liquidity drains away from London, fix painting — forcing gold down into the fix at the expense of the captive producers who are forced to sell at market — has become far too visible. Liquidity is draining because producers are increasingly able to access non-predatory alternative non-LBMA financing and selling conduits. The longstanding collusive game of paper market fix painting is unsustainable without an increasing amount of synthetic market supply to offset these liquidity outflows. This is simply no longer available in enough size to keep this game going for much longer. – King World News

No one knows for sure why the Fed has chosen to raise rates at a time when the economy as a whole is in a deflationary rather than inflationary period, but it appears likely that this is now being done to save the credibility of a central bank that has been jawboning recovery and a strong economy for more than four years.  And if the course has now been set for higher interest rates for the foreseeable future, how can you best protect your wealth and profit from the historical trend that forecasts a rise in gold prices?

Congress passes new spending bill with several hidden riders including CISA

Nothing in politics happens by accident, and if the result was chaos then it was meant to be that way.  These were the words of former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt over 70 years ago, and which apply just as much today as it did back then in the halls of Congress, and the administration of the White House.
This is because a new trillion dollar omnibus spending bill contains much more than just appropriations, as included in the bill are a myriad of liberty destroying laws such as CISA that negate all ground gained in recent years in stopping the government from spying on your communications.
CISA is the Cyber-security Information Sharing Act, and allows private enterprises such as social media and telecommunications to share data with the government without fear of lawsuits, and without warrants.  And like the way the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) was pushed through via a defense appropriations bill, Congress provided little time at all for the public, or other legislators, to debate its inclusion in the primary bill.

Everyone rushing to dump U.S. dollars as October sees decline of almost $150 billion

A new report came out on Dec. 15 from the U.S. Treasury Department showing the overall foreign holdings of U.S. Treasuries and dollar based reserve instruments.  And for the month of October, nearly $150 billion was divested from global accounts, and marks the biggest dumping of dollars in any month of this year.
A combination of the acceptance and expansion of the Yuan currency, and the need for nations to protect their economies by dissolving their reserves are primarily to account for this dollar dumping.  And it is expected that when we get to see November and December’s numbers by the Treasury Department, the selloff will be much greater as more options become available for nations to transact outside the reserve currency.

Banks take advantage of interest rate hike to raise borrowing costs without upping interest to depositors

Almost immediately after the Federal Reserve raised the discount rate from near zero to .25%, banks began to raise the cost of borrowing for mortgages, credit cards, and other loans.  In particular, Wells Fargo, PNC, and JP Morgan banks raised their prime borrowing rates to 3.5% less than five minutes after Chairman Yellen’s announcement.
But while the cost of borrowing from banks is increasing, the opposite end appears not to be, and that is interest paid to depositors from which banks use in their lending to make profits at that prime plus rate.

The last time the Fed raised rates, credit markets collapsed and the economy went into recession

As the entire global economy waits with baited breath for the Federal Reserve’s rate announcement in a few hours, analysts are looking backward to what occurred in 2006 when the central bank last raised rates.  And interesting enough, the results were not good for anyone.
Greenspan used rate hikes between 2004 until June of 2006 to qualify his ‘irrational exuberance’ mantra as the housing bubble would reach its peak just a few months later.  And with this tightening of credit and liquidity, over the next year markets would soar as asset purchases pushed prices to then all-time highs, only to then unveil the fragility of a market that had only succeeded on the back of monetary infusion.
Welcome to 1936-37 and 2007-08.

Thomas Jefferson was right again as Germany takes over Greek infrastructure because of debt

Founding Father Thomas Jefferson once said, “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.”  And in a sad but interesting 21st century version of this prediction over in Europe, Germany has used Greece’s odious debt to take over several Greek airports.
Most of Greece’s nearly $300 billion in debts owed to the ECB, IMF, and foreign sovereign banks like Germany came from defaulted bonds that were originally purchased by private institutions, who then used the central bank to force Greece to cover the debt by borrowing from them.  And since the Credit Crisis and Great Recession made it impossible for Greece to even remotely pay off these loans, the end result is now Greece having to sell the rights to their own infrastructure, and to the very debtors who refused to negotiate a settlement earlier this year.

Got Karatbars? Bitcoin creator discovered to have used the crypto currency to purchase physical gold because it is more secure

Ever since the 2008 Credit Crisis, a growing number of individuals have sought alternatives to banks, the banking system, and fiat based currencies.  From this came the blockchain revolution, and the rise of crypo-currencies such as Bitcoin.

But for many, a completely autonomous digital currency may inevitably be too complex to understand and incorporate, and its expansion beyond a niche following may be its ultimate legacy.  And in a very interesting turn of events, it was revealed recently that the creator of Bitcoin, the man behind the mythical Satoshi Nakamoto, sought to use bitcoin to buy what he considered a more secure form of money...

That being physical gold.
Last Wednesday, we brought you the story of Craig Steven Wright who was “outed” by Wired and Gizmodo as Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous founder of bitcoin.
Now, we get the latest twist in what is already a fairly bizarre story, as The Australian says that in May of 2013, Wright attempted to buy some $85 million in gold and software from Mark Ferrier, who at the time was working on a deal whereby his MJF Mining would obtain 50% of the gold discovered by ASX-listed goldminer Paynes Find Gold.
Apparently, Paynes needed machinery which Ferrier - via MJF - was willing to provide in exchange for a claim on any future discoveries. According to the Australian, “Mr Ferrier is alleged to have told Mr Wright gold was good security in the event the ‘funny money’ of Bitcoin failed.” Here’s what supposedly happened next:
Mr Wright has alleged payments were made in August 2013 of $38.8m — then the equivalent of 245,103 Bitcoin — for Siemens software and gold from Paynes. He then claimed payments were made to Mr Ferrier of $20.3m — or 135,100 Bitcoin — in September 2013 for the “core software” from Al-Baraka. In September that year Mr Ferrier was arrested in Perth and the gold partnership with Paynes was discontinued.
In December 2013 Mr Wright filed actions in the Federal Court and NSW Supreme Court suing for his share of the gold, claiming the sum of $84.42m based on the market value of the alleged Bitcoin payments for the gold. - Zerohedge

Gold is and always has been the most recognized and respected form of money going back thousands of years, and the most secure way of protecting your wealth no matter what type of financial or monetary crisis occurs.  From the use of gold by the Jews in Germany to bribe their way out of the country, to an entire nation of over one billion people using gold as their primary store of wealth, the yellow metal has sustained itself through eras of fiat currencies, and now, the digital age.

There will always be some form of money created by nations that is outside the use of a gold backing, but never have any of these currencies survived and lasted for more than a few decades.  And with the pendulum now swinging away from species like the dollar, euro, and British pound, and back towards gold in economies like China, Russia, and India, now is the time above all for you to be prepared for a return to what was, and be ready for a new system that is to come.

And you can do this securely and inexpensively with a company called Karatbars

China’s Belt and Road initiative may even go as far as Mexico

China’s re-creation of the ancient ‘Silk Road’ trade route across the Eurasian continents is more than a simply a super highway from South Korea to London… it is an organizational structure that is intended to both develop and operate trade and banking hubs in countries all along the global route.
Known also as the Belt and Road initiative, the idea of an overland and connected seaward trade construct is now peaking the interest of a North American economy, who’s long standing partnership with the U.S. may soon be split between them and the growing economic power hailing from Asia.  This is because in a new report on Dec. 14, Mexican authorities announced they want to cultivate even greater productivity and trade with China, and increase their exports to the Far Eastern economy well above the current 2% it now does in annual trade.

Oil falls below $35 a barrel while natural gas drops to lowest level since 2002

Energy prices are not simply barometers of inflation and deflation, but they are also red flags that point towards recession in ways few other indicators can.  And when you couple the current declines in oil and natural gas with highs in inventories worldwide, the result is that the global economy is slowing way down, and no amount of hyperbole from the mainstream media can change this.
A few weeks ago, Dr. Jim Willie gave an interview in which he said one of his primary sources intimated that oil would eventually fall to around $20 per barrel, and this was on a day that prices were sitting around $41-42.  And in less than two weeks, the price has now fallen below $35 per barrel heading into the new year.

Got Karatbars? As the next financial crisis appears on horizon, remember this... central banks traded gold as money in 2008

Dateline December 14, 2015.  Two new financial indicators are rocking the markets just two days away from the Fed's biggest policy decision in a number of years.  First, oil prices fell to below $35 a barrel with natural gas prices falling to their lowest since 2002.  And secondly, the bond markets are starting to crack, with liquidity problems in the junk bond market eerily forecasting the 2010 crisis that led to the start of Quantitative Easing.

As you can see from the above chart, the last time oil prices were this low and liquidity problems occurred we were in the middle of the Great Recession.

Yet with all the talk over the past few years about the dollar, the Yuan, and about ongoing currency wars, one thing seems to have fallen off the radar, and that was the fact that following the 2008 October crisis, central banks began transacting not in the dollar or in their primary currencies, but instead they traded in gold.

The one real form of money.
Alan Greenspan, the venerable former Federal Reserve chairman, speaking to the U.S. Congress in 1999, said, "Gold still represents the ultimate form of payment in the world. Fiat money, in extremis, is accepted by nobody. Gold is always accepted."
In 2002, in a speech given before the Economic Club of New York, Mr. Greenspan also said, “As recently as a decade ago central bankers, having witnessed more than a half-century of chronic inflation, appeared to confirm that a fiat currency was inherently subject to excess.” He confirmed what Aristotle stated 2,500 years ago when he said, “In effect, there is nothing inherently wrong with fiat money, provided we get perfect authority and god-like intelligence for kings.” - Goldbroker
During the 2008 crisis several transactions of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) involved gold. What is significant in this is that gold is being used in international settlements again after so many decades of being sidelined in the monetary system. Gold’s old emergency usefulness has resurfaced, albeit behind closed door sat the BIS in Basel. The transactions themselves confirm that gold is being used in this manner, which is a dynamic confirmation of gold's return to the monetary system.
And perhaps it is not ironic that following the 2008 crisis, Russia, China, India, and a few other nations we now know as the BRICS began purchasing physical gold in record numbers, and have systematically moved most of the world's gold from the West over to the East.  And they have done so following the same intentions that the BIS used in their realization that fiat currencies, including the dollar, cannot function outside of a stable and controlled financial system, and are worthless in a real monetary crisis.

As we come to the end of 2015, and enter into a year where market indicators like oil, bonds, equities, and currencies are screaming that we have entered into a new recession, what potential magic tricks do the central banks have since interest rates are already at zero, and Quantitative Easing has surpassed the point of diminishing returns (see the fact we are all in a deflationary environment)?  The answer is that there is nothing left but hyper-inflation for the banks to attempt, and this, along with doing nothing short of a Jubilee reset, will stop the inevitable from happening.

So if the answer for any monetary crisis is the use of gold, and a return to a gold based monetary system as was done by the central banks themselves following the 2008 collapse, how can we as individuals protect ourselves in both the short and long terms from a complete loss of wealth, and to be on the ground floor of what the world will transition to next?  Because if you don't get your protection now, policies are being put in place where you may never be able to.

India’s Failing Gold Monetization Scheme: Seizure Imminent?
“A finance ministry official said if banks fail to win over temples, the government could intervene directly as it is looking for a big boost to the scheme to keep both imports and the current account deficit under control.” - Mises

Barron's Magazine shows why mainstream economists are fail forecasters

On Dec. 13 Barron's Magazine published their 2016 economic forecasts, and from their crystal ball they cited the same analysts who made market predictions for the publication last year.  However, if you go back to Barron's 2015 forecasts you will find a very interesting dichotomy...

That is, nearly all predictions made by these mainstream economists were wrong.

On average, most of the analysts put the S&P 500 at 2200 for 2015, off by a 66 points at the record high of the market, and over 190 from its close on Friday.

In addition, these analysts GDP growth estimates were between 2.8% and 3.2%, but growth for 2015 going into the final weeks of the year is a paltry 2.1%,

And none of them saw the drop in energy prices leading into 2015.

So again one year later, let's take a look at these same forecaster's and how off they should be seeing as their primary job is to always forecast bullish sentiment rather to keep the stock markets going higher.

S&P 500 ranges from 2100 to a whopping 2500, but perhaps what is most interesting is the decline in their predictions for GDP growth.  1.9% - 3.25%.

Note:  Nearly all alternative media economists like Peter Schiff, Gerald Celente, Rob Kirby and Jim Willie are far below these fairy tale predictions for the coming year.  So enjoy a bit of pragmatism vs. Goldilocks optimism.
